Welcome to Michlig Manor!

My name is Lindy (37) and the handsome fella in the picture is just one of the many characters that reside at 20707.  My husband, Raymond (42) and son Landon (17) and I live in our 1960's rambler with yard space, garden, plenty of parking and so much more. Tora, our Akita (6 yrs and 80lbs) along with Chester, Bichon Border Collie (14 yrs - he's practically a unicorn) and Trouble, Exotic Short Hair Persian pictured above(6 yrs) and Chickens. Our home is a place where friends come to gather and catch up. We have seen New Years, Spring Garden Parties, Friends-giving, Christmas, Baby Showers and even an Engagement. 20707 was the second house on the block when this land went from farm land to rural residential in the early 1900's. Previous owners love to stop by and reminisce and tell us stories of the additions they made and how it has changed.  Our home has also been listed as a famous location within the Jazz community. The very room I am writing in was a recording studio at one time. So, people driving by and taking random pictures is life.  I am trying to get back to the simpler times.  Working the house and garden is a lot of work and there is always some sort of chaos that has risen over the years.  One that stands out since we just had a New Years party is plumbing. It can get a little nervous before a party and we always seem to be  digging up the pipes hours before a guest arrives. None the less, the event goes off without a hitch and we add it as another one to our books.  I cannot wait to share the stories with you, old and new. Here's to ringing in the new year, and new decade at the Michligs!
